Since 2019, rumors are indicating the end of Cortana and now Microsoft ends support for the service on Android and iOS forever.

Specifically, the company points out March 31 as the definitive end of Cortana on iOS and Android. We are not surprised by the news, given its progressive disappearance in recent months.

The company will no longer support Cortana for iOS and Android as of today, March 31. Cortana on mobile phones has been an unsuccessful move. It will be restricted to Windows and Office 365 starting today.

You won’t be able to use Cortana on iOS and Android devices

It is important to note that the support ends completely so all those lists, reminders, and other content that we have created with Cortana will disappear from our mobile phone. However, it will be possible to access these contents from Windows, where the assistant will continue to work as before.

Microsoft ends support for Cortana on Android and iOS forever
Cortana has been an unsuccesful move on smartphones.

Similarly, Microsoft indicates that Cortana reminders and lists are synchronized with Microsoft To Do, so we can use it to manage this data. As of today, March 31, the app will no longer be compatible, so we will not be able to use it, even if we have previous versions.

Microsoft thus says goodbye to the Cortana service that has not been able to compete with Siri and Google Assistant.
