For several months we have been hearing rumors of an Apple TV. A renewal that we are all waiting for, but of which we have very few details. Most of the rumors about this new set-top box fall more in the realm of assumptions than in data leaked from a production line or Apple’s offices.
Apple is developing a new remote for Apple TV
Although details remain unknown, it is rumored that Apple is developing a new controller “with the codename B519 which is quite different from the codename B439” that identifies the current model. A renewal of the controller will undoubtedly have to be accompanied by a renewal of the Apple TV of which we still know little.
This is not the only movement we have seen regarding Apple TV lately, we recently learned that in the tvOS 14.5 betas the “Siri Remote” was renamed “Apple TV Remote” and that the “Home” button was renamed “TV Button”. Minor changes that give us some clues about the company’s possible plans.
The truth is that since August 2020, when Bloomberg reported that Apple was working on an AppleTV with a faster processor and an updated remote, we have been seeing small indicators without going much further. In December Bloomberg confirmed that this new Apple TV would arrive in 2021 and since then we are still waiting for renewal.

Now it seems that April will be the month chosen for releases, meanwhile, there seems to be radio silence in Cupertino.
