Samsung Galaxy A82 5G with the motorized camera costs less than you think. It was in 2019 when Samsung launched one of its most curious mobiles to date (with the permission of folding mobiles). We are referring to the Samsung Galaxy A80, a phone that offered an all-screen design, thanks to a rotating front camera, which had a 48MP sensor that served as a rear and front camera. All indications are that the successor to this handset is just around the corner.
The pop-up camera model seems to be largely abandoned. The future involves integrating the selfie camera under the screen, although for the moment with uncertain results, as seen in the ZTE Axon 20 5G. For that reason, pop-up cameras, or as in this case, rotating, could have a second life in 2021. Now, new reports coming from the Korean media ETNews and picked up by GizChina, reveal some details about the Galaxy A82 5G, including its main technical features and possible price.
With Samsung Galaxy A82 5G, the motorized camera is back
As we say, the Galaxy A82 saw the light in 2019 and the Galaxy and A81 never saw the light in 2020. The leaked information ensures that the next phone of the saga will arrive as Galaxy A82 5G. Also, some interesting information is revealed, such as that it will integrate the Snapdragon 855+ processor, which is the most powerful Android chip of 2019. This will permit that this device will be very high in performance, but being able to contain much more than its final price.
The source ensures that it will reach the market between $620 and $710. As its main hallmark, it would feature a bezel-less AMOLED display and a rotating top camera, in addition to a fingerprint sensor integrated into the screen. The size of this panel has not been specified, but remember that the Galaxy A80 of 2019 already reached a generous 6.7 inches. It is also indicated that the processor will be accompanied by versions with 6 and 8GB RAM and variants with 128 and 256GB internal storage, expandable via microSD cards, something that continues to lie the Galaxy A family devices.
More details coming soon
According to claims detailed in the leaked information, during the coming weeks will see the light more details. It should be noted that Samsung has yet to unveil many of the devices in the Galaxy A series. If the launch happens, an important aspect could also be revealed, and that is that the under-screen camera technology may not yet be mature enough for Samsung to be encouraged to market it this year. Remember that ZTE has run too much, and the company itself has admitted that the hidden front-facing camera on its Axon 20 5G is not up to par, as well as scoring very poorly in the famous DxOMark tests.
