Sonos presented its new portable speaker with many features that make it one of the best proposals of the brand.
This new speaker, Sonos Roam, combines some features we already saw in Move with new functions at a tempting price. And it is small and compact enough to take it anywhere without problems.
Sonos Roam specs
Sonos Roam has two features that stand out: it is small and economical. It is light, weighs just about 430 grams, and measures 168 x 62 x 60mm. However, it has a lot to offer users, whether they want to use it horizontally or vertically.
For example, it has 2 amplifiers (class H), a mid-woofer, a tweeter, touch controls, a noise-canceling microphone, and it can offer up to 10 hours of battery life. Also, it is compatible with Alexa, Google Assistant, and AirPlay 2.
And of course, WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity. So you can seamlessly connect it to your home router, mobile devices, other speakers, etc.
Simultaneous connection to WiFi and Bluetooth makes streaming seamless wherever you are. When you’re listening at home, Roam connects to your system and streams on WiFi, and when you leave it, it intuitively switches to Bluetooth and automatically re-pairs with your mobile device.
A detail to note is that it has IP67 certification, so not only you can move without problems with Sonos Roam thanks to the fact that it is light and compact, but also because it has a high level of resistance to dust and water.
And of course, many features of the speaker take advantage of the Sonos ecosystem, for example, integrates the Sound Swap function that allows you to move the music to another speaker and the Automatic Trueplay function that adjusts the sound taking into account the environment.
