TikTok is the social network of the moment and is getting all the attention. Other applications are taking notice and that is why Netflix has created its version of TikTok. We show it to you below.
TikTok comes to Netflix with short humorous videos
The company has one goal in mind: that you stay within its platform as long as possible and watch a lot of series and movies. Its means to that end is to launch Fast Laughs, a reel with short, funny videos created with content from the platform’s series, shows, and movies.
“Want to watch something funny?” is how Netflix begins the announcement of its new tool for mobile devices. It has already started the rollout on iPhone and will later land on Android.
In Fast Laughs what you will see will be short, full-screen videos with which you can interact. You can like, comment, share and add to your playlist, among other options.
These clips are related to the content that already exists on the streaming platform, for example, Murder Mystery, Big Mouth, The Crew, Kevin Hart, and Ali Wong.
To access Fast Laughs just click on the corresponding tab that bears the same name and is located in the bottom bar.
The videos play automatically, unlike Instagram Reels or TikTok, in which you have to swipe your finger from bottom to top to switch to the next video.
Netflix comments that in some of those videos there may be commentary or scenes not suitable for all audiences.
In Fast Laughs will be given much prominence to stand-up specials, and that’s because the company is investing a lot of effort in that humor content where we can see Adam Sandler and Kevin Hart among others.
Netflix does not want to launch a new application, but to offer users another way to be entertained without leaving the streaming platform. Also, through these short videos, you can enjoy content or scenes that you might have missed.
