Meizu is a well-known brand worldwide, although it does not launch its phones in our country. Last year the Chinese manufacturer returned to the high end with two new devices, which today already have successors. These two new phones are the Meizu 18 and Meizu 18 Pro, two smartphones that are placed in the most powerful segment in Android.
The brand has been losing market presence over time and has gone through complex moments. Despite this, they continue to leave us with new phones, such as the Meizu 18 and 18 Pro, which for the moment will remain in China, although the brand may relaunch phones in the international market at some point.

The new high-end
The Chinese brand aims high with this new high-end, which makes use of Snapdragon 888 in both models, so we can expect two phones with great power, in addition to having 5G as standard. This processor, along with their curved Super AMOLED panels with great resolution and 120Hz refresh rate makes them good phones when it comes to gaming. Both panels feature a perforation at the top center and the same specs, unlike the panel size.
These two phones also stand out for their large batteries, 4,000mAh capacity in the Meizu 18 and 4,500mAh in the Pro model. The normal model has support for 36W quick charging, while the Pro model leaves us with 40W quick charging, as well as 40W quick wireless charging. So we will be able to charge it at high speed both wired and wireless.
The cameras are different between the two models. The normal model leaves us with a 64MP main sensor, a 16MP wide-angle, and an MP telephoto. While the Pro model arrives with a 50MP main sensor, the Samsung S5KGN1, a 32MP wide angle, an 8MP telephoto, and a ToF sensor for depth measurements. In both models the wide-angle lens doubles as a macro.
Meizu 18 and 18 Pro price and release date
These two new phones are already officially launched in China, the only country so far in which their launch has been confirmed. Considering the brand’s past, it seems unlikely that they will be launched in some countries, but you never know, they may leave us with good news at some point.
The Meizu 18 is launched in a single version of RAM and storage, with a price of 4,699 yuan, which is about $726. In the case of the Meizu 18 Pro, we find three different versions of it, whose prices confirmed in China are:
The model with 8/128GB is priced at 4,999 yuan (about $772).
The version with 8/256GB costs 5,499 yuan (about $850).
The model with 12/256GB is priced at 5,999 yuan (about $927).
