Spotify has been in the news all week for the new features announced at their latest event. We’ve already seen them share their plans to boost their podcast offering, as well as new features to improve the user experience.
Spotify adds options to share lyrics with friends
However, these are not the only new features that the Spotify team is working on, as there are more features on the way.
The new interface changes the Library section with a new grid layout, not to mention the lists. The idea is to organize all the content in one place with a visual touch. There we will find playlists, artists, albums, and downloads.
The search engine is reduced to give prominence to the filters that are now always visible to consult at any time. And if you have a lot of content in the download section, you will find it easier to browse through all playlists, albums, and podcast episodes. You can combine filters to facilitate searches, for example, downloads + playlists.
An interesting dynamic to consult all the content we have available for offline listening without complicating things. This design seems to be in test and only with a small group of users.
And it is not the only new feature being tested, it also adds the ability to share fragments of the lyrics of the songs with our friends using social networks. While Spotify allows sharing songs, albums, or playlists via messaging or social networks, lyrics are not part of this dynamic.
The only condition to share lyrics is to choose a maximum of 5 lines. Once we perform that action, we will be able to share the phrases on Twitter or Facebook, and Instagram Stories.
