Samsung is preparing to launch Win 10 laptops with Exynos processors and AMD graphics cards according to news in the Korean media.
Samsung will push Win 10 laptop equipped with Exynos processor and AMD graphics card
Samsung is reportedly launching this computer to compete with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8cx. Exynos is an ARM-based chip, so this computer will run the Win 10 ARM operating system and this computer is expected to be available later this year.
Samsung has released Win 10 computers based on the ARM platform in the past, such as the Galaxy Book S and Galaxy Book 2, but these computers were equipped with Qualcomm processors.
Samsung’s upcoming laptops will be powered by the Exynos 2200 processor, which is the successor to the Exynos 2100 processor that Samsung introduced in Unpacked 2021.
The Exynos 2100 is Samsung’s first mobile chipset to integrate 5G and is based on a 5nm EUV process. Compared to its predecessor using the 7nm process, the Exynos 2100 consumes 20% less power and delivers a 10% increase in overall performance.
The Exynos 2100 chip features a tri-cluster architecture, including a 2.9GHz ARM Cortex-X1 mega-core, three Cortex-A78 cores, and four Cortex-A55 cores.
The Exynos 2100 was released on the same day that Samsung officially announced its partnership with AMD to develop its next-generation flagship processor.
