In September 2020, Xiaomi presented Mi Watch for the global market and now, the company has announced a major update for this smartwatch that brings some highly demanded features including Alexa support.

Alexa support comes to Xiaomi Mi Watch with an update
A Mi Community user has confirmed that Xiaomi is releasing via a new system update for the global version of Mi Watch OTA. The latest version comes with new features, optimizations, and bug fixes.
First of all, the new update adds support for Amazon’s voice assistant Alexa. Unfortunately, it will only be available in certain regions and, at the moment, there is no official list for those regions. It also includes an option to enable and disable auto-pause in training modes and reduces the time it takes for the watch to wake up.
In addition, the new update offers two new standby watch faces and a feature being tested for wrist control of the phone’s camera shutter. This feature includes the camera shutter button and a timer to the Mi Watch.
