Google Stadia will add more than 100 games to its catalog this year. Google announced that it will expand the catalog of games for Stadia, bringing more than 100 titles this year.

And to show the variety of proposals coming to the platform, it gave a preview of the games coming to Stadia during February, March, and April.

Recall that Google announced a few weeks ago that it was closing Stadia’s internal studios. A decision that implies that it will no longer develop its games for the platform and that it will rely on third-party developers to augment Stadia titles in the future.

So as of the closure of the studios, the team dedicated to developing games for Stadia was dissolved. Some left and others were relocated. And although Google mentioned that it was a strategic decision considering the time and cost involved in developing new games, the interest in maintaining the platform in the long term was in doubt.

However, Google’s team dispels doubts with the announcement of more than 100 games that will be added to Stadia during 2021, ensuring a year of releases and many options for the platform.

Nine of these new games will be released in the coming months:

  • Shantae: Half-Genie Hero Ultimate Edition (February 23).
  • Shantae: Risky’s Revenge – Director’s Cut (February 23)
  • It came from space and ate our brains (March 2)
  • FIFA 21 (March 17)
  • Kaze and the Wild Masks (March 26)
  • Judgment (April 23)
  • Killer Queen Black
  • Street Power Football
  • Hellpoint

Google has chosen different types of games for users to find a variety on the platform… role-playing, action, sports, strategy, and so on. So users who have bet on Stadia can expect this year’s catalog to offer them some of their favorite games, as well as new titles and novelties.

While not a surprise, as most of the games had been leaked, Google making the launch of this catalog official is a good sign.
