If you want to learn how to add a custom cover photo to a playlist on Spotify, we are going to help you out in this guide. Spotify is one of the most popular music streaming applications worldwide.

It is an application that is frequently updated with new features, such as searching for songs by lyrics. Playlists are getting more and more features, such as being able to use a picture of yourself as the cover, instead of the photo that is automatically generated in the app.

This feature was already available in the desktop version of Spotify and since a few weeks ago it is also available in its Android version. Thanks to this option you can customize your playlists by choosing a photo you want to use as a cover. The way to change it is very simple.

How to add a custom cover photo to a playlist on Spotify?

When we create a playlist in Spotify, the application creates a cover for it, mixing the covers of the first four songs in order. The streaming app seeks to give more customization options to users. You can now select the cover photo for this playlist. It can be a photo you have saved on your phone or you can take a picture at that moment. This way you will have a picture that you consider is better. You just need to follow these steps:

  • Open Spotify.
  • Click on Library.
  • Go to the playlist that you want to add a new cover.
  • Click on the top three buttons.
  • Select Edit Playlist.
  • Click on Change Picture.
  • Choose a picture from the gallery
  • Find the photo you want to upload.
  • Click on use photo.
  • If you want to do this with other playlists, repeat the process.

As you can see the process is really simple, if you follow these steps carefully there should be no problems. You can download Spotify from Google Play for Android, and from App Store for iOS.
