There have been rumors around indicating that Apple is accelerating its Mini LED display technology and will apply it to iPhone, iPad, MacBook, and other devices in the future; but now there’s a new prediction, the first iPad with an OLED panel might be coming in 2022.
A research firm stated this different prediction and they said that Apple will be the first to use Mini LED panels on two products, 12.9-inch iPad Pro and 16-inch MacBook. The company will consider using OLED panels on the iPad and MacBook in 2022.
We will see an Apple iPad with an OLED panel in 2022
Apple’s transition to OLED began with the Apple Watch, followed by the iPhone X. So the iPad Pro and MacBook Pro will be the next step of Apple’s transition. Everyone wonders if they will be successful on a larger screen than smartphones.
Compared to LCD, OLED may have several benefits for the future iPad Pro and MacBook Pro, including lower power consumption, higher brightness, sharper colors, and faster response times. In addition, OLED panels are also typically thinner, which can meet the requirements of thinner and lighter product designs.
