Xiaomi is a manufacturer known for its especially cheap quality devices, but this may change in the future. Xiaomi is a brand that has managed to carve out its niche in the market. Most of its devices succeed thanks to the balance they offer between high performance and an affordable price.

As it continues along this path, some movements have been seen that have aroused the interest of specialists, such as the launch of the Mi 10 Ultra that in its 16 GB + 512 GB configuration can reach 6,999 yuan or $1,082. This price is understandable given its powerful features with digital zoom up to 120x magnification and fast charging at 120W, but it may be the first step.

It is inevitable to think that the industry is not only moving towards increasingly cheaper phones, but the emergence of folding phones is also too important to ignore it and no manufacturer will want to be left behind in a technology that may dominate the future, although this kind of devices entails a significant price increase.

As reported by Android Authority, Xiaomi has previously shown signs that it is considering this change in its strategy and it is possible that on February 7, with the Chinese New Year, the CEO of the company will offer more information about this important move.

It is clear that Xiaomi has managed to succeed for now in its plans, but if it wants to reach all ranges it must also make a bet on the more expensive models. We will see what news this manufacturer, which in May 2020 became the company that sells the most cell phones worldwide, surprises us again.
