Best of Steam 2020: Six categories
Without a doubt, the platinum category has few surprises. The most striking titles are, of course, Fall Guys and Among Us. It is also interesting to see two Rockstar games among the most profitable games of the year. And of course, you can’t miss the most remarkable game of the year, Cyberpunk 2077.
In the gold category, the presence of Phasmophobia is a big surprise. Other titles on the list are Sea of Thieves, Borderlands 3, Dead by Deadlight, and Halo: The Master Chief Collection.
New releases
This category focuses on the titles that have been released in 2020. In this case, we find a general list of 25 games, and then we will find the 20 most profitable releases in each of the months of the year.
If in the previous group Microsoft Flight Simulator was “relegated” to the silver category, in this one the game is obviously in the platinum list. Obviously, we also find Cyberpunk 2077, Fall Guys, and, of course, Doom Eternal.
Most played
Although income is an important indicator, the number of players who have coincided at a given time playing the same game is also a very interesting metric. The games that have entered the platinum category of this group are reached 200.000 or more simultaneous Steam users.
Cyberpunk 2077 is on the list again, without a doubt. Also, Fall Guys found a place in this category too, surely it has been a blast at its peak point. Terraria and Life is Strange 2 took their respective placements as well. You can see all of the games featured in Best of Steam 2020 from the platform’s official website.
