You can play Skyrim and Fallout 4 at 60 FPS on Xbox Series X
The arrival of Xbox Series X|S has made studios adapt their games to new features, both in terms of performance and resolution. However, Bethesda has yet to release next-gen versions of their most famous titles, such as Skyrim or Fallout 4.
But thanks to this fan-mod, we can now enjoy two RPG masterpieces at the best resolution and performance on Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S. Skyrim and Fallout 4’s mod support on consoles allows us to unlock this feature that has not been officially released.
This mod is called Uncap FPS and is available for download on both Xbox Series X|S titles, taking advantage of this through Xbox One backward compatibility. On PS5 it can’t be used yet, but you have to keep in mind that using it will disable achievements for players.
Bethesda has already announced that The Elder Scrolls Online will receive a next-gen update in 2021, but not for Skyrim, Fallout 4, or Fallout 76, at least for now. A few months ago, it was announced that Fallout 4 will have smart delivery on Xbox consoles, raising the rate from 30 FPS to 60 FPS.
This mod is run by user Smudgey5000 and was originally intended for Xbox One versions, but the console hardware did not allow FPS unlocking, which works by disabling the game’s v-sync.
To get the mod to work, you need to download and install it and then restart Skyrim or Fallout 4. Otherwise, the title will not work correctly.
This is a perfect opportunity to enjoy two games at the best; Possible frame rate on Xbox Series X|S, coupled with Skyrim’s addition to Xbox Game Pass and Bethesda’s upcoming games coming to service in 2021.
