It is now possible to play Microsoft Flight Simulator in VR. Microsoft has always wanted to offer players the most realistic experience possible. Even in the first versions, the flight model was as realistic as it could be, and this has been a constant in the title throughout its history. The last example of this is the maps using Bing’s huge image base.

Flight Simulator does not seek to be fun, it aims to be an experience as close as possible to real flying. And yes, it is true that it has assistants, aids, simplified procedures, and so on, but it is not a big difference from having an instructor sitting on your right, giving you directions, and taking control of the aircraft.
Microsoft Flight Simulator today has taken a giant step, after several months of testing, Flight Simulator already offers the VR mode. More specifically, starting today the simulator is compatible with the OpenXR virtual reality devices, including Valve Index, HTC Vive, and Oculus Rift, among others. It is obvious that the study has sought to maximize the compatibility of the game with the most widespread viewers.
This release is not a surprise, the arrival of VR in Flight Simulator had already been announced a few weeks ago. It should be understood that the result of these tests has been very positive since just over two months later, we already have the final version available to all players.
