Some people simply prefer to have the songs saved on their smartphones and if you are one of them you will be able to play your local files on Spotify soon. The application is clearly working on a way to display these files in your library. Integration of this feature is not the easiest task, especially if they want to make possible shuffle playing between online content and local files. This would be a really interesting thing because YouTube Music, for example, allows access to these files but separates them from their normal library which means that it is not possible to create playlists with local and online files together.
