One of the most anticipated games of 2020 is Cyberpunk 2077, a title that was in development for almost a decade and it will be released on December 10th, but there is some shocking news about the game, it may cause epileptic seizures.

  • Cyberpunk 2077 pre-load exceeds 100GB
  • Cyberpunk 2077 will not have ray tracing active on an RX 6000 from day one

Several media outlets have already had the opportunity to review the game and that is why reports are emerging that Cyberpunk 2077 causes epileptic seizures.

Cyberpunk 2077 might be dangerous for those who have epilepsy

It seems that Cyberpunk 2077 has moments that cannot be skipped and the scenes can recreate epileptic seizures for diagnostic purposes.

Experts recommend that those with epilepsy should remove their eyes from the screen as soon as there are interactions with Johnny Silverhand – Keanu Reeves’ character – as they enter into games with blue distortion animations that can cause instability.

But the most dangerous sequences are those involving a helmet called Braindance that allows interaction with memories because as soon as the main character puts it on, a succession of flashing white and red LEDs show up.

British NGO Epilepsy Action said it was alarmed and saddened by the seizure the game caused a reviewer before it was released and urged CD developer Projekt Red to update it to make it a safe experience for people suffering from epilepsy.

Also, Steven Spohn of the Able Gamers organization said he was disturbed and invited CD Projekt Red to pay attention to the situation.
