Phil Spencer praised PS5’s DualSense in an interview and commented that it’s important to always pursue innovation, no matter what company it is.
With the release of Xbox Series X, Series S and PS5, we now have all the next generation consoles in the mix. The competition has begun, but each company has bet on different approaches that differentiate them in many areas.
While Microsoft has wanted to follow a more progressive trend while diversifying the market with two consoles, Sony has taken the path of a change in the design of its PlayStation. One of the aspects of PS5 that has attracted the most attention from players, DualSense, has been praised by Phil Spencer in an interview with The Verge.
The head of Xbox had some kind words towards the Sony console controller indicating that it is a great device. I applaud what they did with the controller, acknowledged the manager, who also commented a few weeks ago that he was burning with the desire to have a PS5 in his hands.
I think that for all of us in the industry, we should learn from each other and from the innovation that we all drive, whether it is the distribution of the business model like Game Pass, or the control technology, or the Wii in the past, which clearly had an impact on us when we went and did Kinect and Sony did Move.

As we were saying, Microsoft has bet strongly on a business model oriented to a multitude of consumers with X Series and Series. Yesterday, THQ Nordic talked about that duality: “I’m not sure if the market will adopt it”. However, Phil himself commented that the launch of Xbox Series X and Series S had been the biggest in Xbox’s history.
