Microsoft Edge is gaining popularity in desktop browsers. In October it obtained a 10.22% share by gaining two points over the previous month.
The browser, besides being the default on Windows computers, has had several updates to attract more users. In one of the last ones, it allows you to put the tabs in a vertical way, and this new feature attracted a lot of users.

They have launched other tools such as the possibility of comparing prices, the functionality of taking a screenshot without external tools, the automatic user change feature to be able to work separately, and some functionalities to work better with PDF files and file search.
All these changes are part of the effort to gain some of Chrome’s users, which has 62.25% of the market. Edge reached second place this month, followed by Firefox (7.22%), Internet Explorer (5.57%) and Safari (3.4%). In September, the Microsoft browser had 8.8% of the market.
Microsoft Edge is gaining popularity among Chrome users. This means that the browser could close the year with a growth of more than 4%, considering that, in the third quarter of 2019, it had 5.6% of the market.
