Apple Fitness+ is a subscription service with virtual workouts monitored with the Apple Watch and it’s available on the main Apple devices. Apple fully entered the field of health and sports with the introduction of its first Apple Watch and motion monitoring. Throughout this time it has been adding more and more features focused on physical activity. Apple Fitness+ is a subscription service with virtual workouts monitored with the Apple Watch and it’s available on the main Apple devices.

Essentially these are videos with professional trainers showing different workouts each week. The user only needs the Apple Watch and a screen (iPhone, iPad or Apple TV) to watch the class. According to the company, for most classes no extra equipment is required, so it is possible to workout without any extra investment.

The multiple sensors of the Apple Watch 6 will detect movements to understand workouts, monitor the effort, control the pulsations and blood oxygen saturation. These characteristics make it possible for the system to know how the class has been for the user and offer statistics and trends at the end of each training session. All this will be synchronized in the Apple Fitness+ app on watch, mobile, tablet and TV.

On the other hand, users can take the opportunity to listen to music during classes directly from Apple Music. As long as you have an Apple Music subscription of course. Apple says you can even add friends on Apple Fitness+ so they can see your training accomplishments and compete with you. Finally, gym equipment that is compatible with Apple GymKit will be also synchronized with the clock and training classes.

Apple says Apple Fitness+ is the first training service created for the Apple Watch. The truth is that third-party apps already have similar services that can be practiced with the Apple watch. On the other hand, companies like Nike or Peloton have similar services to offer workouts at home or anywhere other than a gym.
