Sony opened the registration process for Playstation 5 pre-order. Sony has opened a registration page that will make it easy to be among the first to get the game console. At the moment it is only available for shipments in the United States, although the campaign is expected to be expanded to other countries soon.
Sony continues to heat engines (and interested users) for the launch of its new generation of consoles. Even without knowing the date of availability or, most importantly, the price of the console, the company has opened the first reservation process to acquire it. And it is curious because it is not a direct process of advance purchase.
How to pre-order the PlayStation 5 now?
If you want to boast of being one of the first to buy, you can try it by making a registration that will allow (if you are lucky) an invitation from Sony to make the reservation. Registration must be done with an email address associated with your PSN ID.
Sony says there will be a limited number of consoles available for pre-order and that is why they will only invite “some of our current consumers” to be the first to pre-order the PlayStation 5.

Pre-order reservations will be made on a first-come, first-served basis, so once you receive the email invitation, you’ll need to act quickly and follow the instructions. If you are one of those selected, Sony will contact you before pre-order process begins.
If after registering you do not receive the email, it will mean that you have not been selected and you will have to wait for another type of process, which will surely be less cumbersome and more direct than this one. We don’t know if Sony has trouble putting a sufficient number of units at launch or is looking for hype more than anything else. Knowing that the company has one of the most advanced processes for the manufacture of consoles, we bet on the latter.
In any case and if you are one of the chosen ones, you can choose to buy (rather reserve) the following.
- 1 PS5 (Blu-ray) or 1 PS5 (Digital Edition)
- 2 DualSense wireless controllers
- 2 DualSense charging stations
- 2 Pulse 3D wireless headphones
- 2 multimedia remote controls
- 2 HD cameras
Remember that this campaign is limited to one invitation per PSN ID and only if you live in the United States or have an address there where the console can be sent. We assume that it will be extended to other countries and that the process to reserve the PlayStation 5 without any prior registration and not having to wait for an invitation will be improved. Of course, you can also find the console in all the big retailers.
It is not official, but the latest information handled by the media is that the launch of the console will be on November 20 (November 14 in Japan) with prices of $399 and $499 respectively for the two versions, digital and standard.
