Huawei launched a gaming hub for its mobile phones called GameCenter, in this article we will tell you what it is, which exclusive games it features and how to download it.

Huawei continues its adventure to try to convince itself and the end user that Google is not everything. Although its terminals continue to pivot on Android’s DNA, the Chinese company is creating a complete ecosystem of tools that replace those offered by Google. Now it’s GameCenter’s turn, which is already available for all the company’s mobiles, as a direct response to Google Play Games.

  • Huawei delivers EMUI 10.1 update to 36 Huawei and Honor models
  • Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo and Huawei joins forces to rival Google Play Store
  • Streaming games possible with Steam Cloud Play now

What is Huawei GameCenter?

GameCenter was born as a game download and management center, which is now available on Huawei mobiles thanks to the AppGallery, the company’s application bazaar. This new tool has just landed in 13 countries and regions around the world, including Asia Pacific, Europe, Latin America, the Middle East and Africa. Huawei has revealed that GameCenter will also arrive pre-installed on all future Huawei phones with HMS (Huawei Mobile Services).

As we say, it is a service that aims to replace Google Play Games as a platform for managing and downloading games. In this way, GameCenter allows you to download categorized games, game pre-downloads, beta tests and get special rewards in many titles for using the tool. In this way we can download thousands of titles and play them at full capacity on our Huawei mobile.

Huawei GameCenter launches with exclusive games

There are some titles that are exclusive to the platform, like Starship Legion-AMG, BORN AS EPIC, Farm Legend, Survival Road, Ellr Land and more. In this way, Huawei has signed agreements with developers such as Lilith, IGG, Gameloft or Forshow to agree exclusive launches and rewards in the GameCenter.

Categories and rewards

Users will be able to find the games in different categories: action, card and table, puzzles, role-playing games, sports games and strategy. In addition, you can access other types of claims, including the editor’s recommendations, game reservation, early access or world ranking. As with the Google service, in GameCenter you can manage gifts, rewards, advance purchases, order history and much more.

Huawei is encouraging developers

GameCenter is a reality, thanks in part to Huawei’s incentives for developers around the world. The company has opened the “Shining-Star” program that offers incentives of up to $ 1 million, including funds for application development, marketing and a favorable share of revenue when developing games for Huawei. The idea of GamCenter is to serve as a hook to be able to scratch a large bulk of software creators who today only consider their work on Google Play.
