Gamers actively rely on their best role throughout a Battle Royale play to secure a Victory Royale, and new Fortnite Augments have gradually grown to be an essential component of the game. Players can select at random from one of 21 active Augments that are available at the start of Chapter 4 Season 1.
When the newer Augments will enter the game and what benefits they would offer, however, were not yet known. While some people assumed certain benefits would allow users to rift from anywhere, a leak has revealed five new Fortnite Augments coming in today’s update.
According to the aforementioned leak, these Augments will be available for players to activate and employ throughout battles in the Arena, Battle Royale, Team Rumble, and Zero Build modes starting with today’s v23.20 release.
What are the new Fortnite Augments?
Five new Fortnite Augments are coming to Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1 with today’s v23.20 update in response to a leak from HYPEX. Players will be able to acquire these new additions at random between matches, joining the already existing 21 in-game Augments.

When the Augmentation screen appears, players can also borrow certain Augments they don’t possess from their friends. Here are the game’s five new augmentations and how to use them:
- Danger Hero – You briefly regenerate health and gain movement speed when your shield breaks
- Peely’s Plunder – Receive a Treasure Map that will lead you to buried treasure
- Shotgun Striker – Shotguns give Siphon on hits against players
- Rarity Check – You gain Siphon on eliminations with common or uncommon weapons
- Zero Chance – Gain Zero Point Dash when you break an enemy’s shield
There are other changes included within the new Fortnite Augments patch
Classic Fortnite elements from the first three chapters are brought back by the five augmentations included with the update. For instance, the Siphon game mode rose to prominence in Chapters 1 and 2, and the Augment, which has a related purpose, will remind players of their efforts to improve the shotgun.
Additionally, acquiring Zero Point Dash in Chapter 2 through crystals and zero point fish allowed players to dash much quicker and closer to their adversaries. For players who like to rush their opponents, the Augment could be very useful.
Treasure Maps, meanwhile, were last observed in Chapter 3 of the Uncharted game. An Augment that can direct players to locations where they can unearth chests with better loot is a return of the traditional item.
Players have been waiting impatiently for new items and tasks to be added to Fortnite ever since Winterfest ended. In the upcoming weeks, it will be interesting to observe how loopers integrate these Augments with the current ones.
