Google has its head in the clouds and its feet on the ground; here’s the company’s new event: Made by Google. The tech giant is preparing for a summer surprise that could “byte” more than we can chew.
Google plans to hold its hardware event, Made by Google, on August 13, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. PT. This timing change from the usual fall schedule puts Google’s announcements ahead of other big tech companies’ events.

Made By Google’s 2024 tech canvas
Before the Made by Google event, let’s take a look at what Google is doing in 2024 and what will greet us at the event. Especially after the coronavirus, the years seem to flow even faster. We are already talking about the end of 2024.
Google, like many other big companies, continued its work in the field of artificial intelligence this year and launched new products. The development of Pixel phones also continues. Speaking of phones, Android 15 was also announced this year. Google announced this and many other things.
Google’s Pixel 9 trio takes center stage
The Pixel 9 series is scheduled to make its debut during the event. This range consists of the basic Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, and Pixel 9 Pro Fold. Google has published teaser films for the Pro and Pro Fold models, which highlight redesigned looks and hint at new functionality.
The Pixel 9 Pro features a revised camera area, whilst the Pixel 9 Pro Fold looks to be more integrated with the regular Pixel series. Both gadgets are said to be designed for “the Gemini era,” which refers to Google’s AI technology.

Gem-AI-ni: Google’s twin AI troubles
Gemini, Google’s artificial intelligence system, is now expected to play a major role in new devices – especially on Android and Windows computers. Recent updates have brought a smaller version, Gemini Nano, to existing Pixel 8 phones.
Time will tell to what extent Gemini will be integrated into the new Pixel phones. Google is working on the development of artificial intelligence, but practical applications for everyday users are still evolving.
Gemini has also dealt with many crises during the year. This year, it even made us report an AI as racist.
Android’s sweet 15
The event will likely include the official release of Android 15, the latest version of Google’s mobile operating system. Many features have already been announced about this update during the year, so here’s a brief summary for you:
- Changes to multitasking functions
- Options for satellite connectivity
- A new security feature called Private Space
- Updates to the battery-saving Doze mode
Thus, the Android brand name will really live up to its name and will slowly start to give a nod to Philip K. Dick. Or maybe that’s a long way off.
Hear and wear: Google’s new gadget gear
While the year has been mostly about artificial intelligence and the Pixel, it’s time for Google to announce new versions of its wearable and audio products. The Pixel Watch 3 and Pixel Buds Pro 2 are likely to be introduced. These devices may also incorporate some of Google’s AI technology, though details are not yet known.
Your #PixelWatch is more than a great companion for fitness, but it can help keep you safer too.
With Fall Detection, Pixel Watch can even detect falls from bicycles and call emergency services if you need help and are unable to respond.¹

AI-ssistant drama: A tale of two helpers
It’s still unclear whether Google Assistant and Gemini have fallen out or made up and merged. Google has allowed users to choose Gemini as the primary assistant on some devices, but it has not fully replaced the traditional Assistant. In 2024, it was previously reported that Gemini would be announced as the new phone assistant. The event could provide more information about Google’s plans for these AI assistants.
Chip off the new block
The new Pixel devices are expected to use Google’s latest processor, the Tensor G4. After all, it has been developed, so why not use it? This chip was designed by Google specifically for its devices. Again, hardware specifications and pricing details have not yet been officially announced.
Yes, we have looked at some clues about what Google has done what it will do in 2024, and what we can see at Made by Google’s event. 2024 has been and will continue to be fast in terms of time and technology. You can follow all the innovations at the event.
