Instagram is constantly trying new things to enrich the user experience. According to the latest developments, the platform is working on a “Super Like” feature for Stories.

The new feature will allow users to express their likes more powerfully and meaningfully. Specifically, this innovation aims to increase interest in stories, similar to a feature we’ve seen in many social media and dating apps.

How will the Instagram super likes feature work?

The Super Like feature that Instagram will add to Stories will allow users to express their enthusiasm for a Story by holding down the like button on the screen. In other words, it will show that you really liked the post of the person who shared the story. Are dating app users here? You’ll be no stranger to the new Super Like feature. You should be familiar with such a feature, especially if you use Tinder.

According to Paluzzi’s findings, users can only use the super like option once daily (just like in Tinder). Will the feature be paid? That remains to be seen. But if we had to guess, it will probably have a subscription or charge, just like in other dating apps.

Instagram’s super-like feature could be an interesting addition to boost user interactions. Users expressing their interest in a story more prominently could generate more engagement on the platform. However, it is unclear how this feature will be used and how users will receive it. Until an official announcement from Instagram, exactly how the super-like feature will work and its impact on users will remain unclear.

We will continue to follow the developments on how the new features will shape the user experience and what innovations they will bring to the platform. Instagram aims to keep the platform dynamic with such innovations to attract the attention of its users and increase interaction.
