Elon Musk has issued a stern warning to Apple about OpenAI integration. In a statement on X on Monday, Musk said that if Apple integrates OpenAI into its operating system, these devices will be banned in their companies.
On the other hand, Musk called this an “that is an unacceptable security violation”. It stated that visitors using Apple devices may have to check their devices in Faraday cages before entering their companies.
If Apple integrates OpenAI at the OS level, then Apple devices will be banned at my companies. That is an unacceptable security violation.

Elon Musk declares war on Apple
Earlier in the day, Apple took an important step in the field of artificial intelligence and announced a partnership with OpenAI. According to Reuters, this partnership will integrate ChatGPT technology and various AI features into Apple devices. Apple stated that its AI efforts are privacy-focused and that it will use both on-device processing and cloud computing technologies to strengthen these features.
Ben Bajarin, CEO of consulting firm Creative Strategies, disagreed with Musk, saying that Apple is trying to educate users that the private cloud is as secure as keeping data on a device. Bajarin said Apple is trying to explain that data is anonymized when transferred to the secure private cloud and that this information creates a user firewall.
Musk, however, was skeptical of Apple’s move, commenting, “It’s ridiculous that Apple can guarantee that OpenAI will protect your security and privacy when it’s not smart enough to build its own AI!”
Musk’s tension with OpenAI is not new. In March, he left OpenAI, which he co-founded in 2015 because it had moved away from its mission to develop artificial intelligence for the benefit of humanity, not for profit. He even founded his own startup, xAI, as a competitor to OpenAI, which received $6 billion in investment in its last funding round at a valuation of $24 billion.
Apple’s deal with OpenAI has angered Elon Musk. Since the agreement between the two companies is irreversible and Musk is doing what he set his mind to, he will not back down from this decision.
