IKEA’s new store will come to life in the Roblox universe on June 24. It will offer players entertainment, real work experience, and earning opportunities. A limited number of lucky players will be hired as virtual IKEA employees, working in different departments for an hourly wage. They will have realistic experiences such as helping customers, organizing products, and advancing their careers through promotions. Meanwhile, the 10 employees will be paid around $16.48 per hour.
The application process began on June 3 and will continue until June 16. IKEA will conduct virtual interviews between June 14 and 18 to assess candidates’ motivation and skills. Successful candidates will start their new jobs on June 24 and will have fun and earn money at the same time.
“The Co-Worker Game” will be open to all Roblox users, not just paid employees. Players can visit IKEA’s virtual store, create designs using products, and even serve delicious meatballs and salmon at the Swedish Food Market.
