Huawei opens a new chapter in the mobile world with HarmonyOS

Despite the significant challenges posed by the US sanctions, technology giant Huawei continues to forge ahead with its global market expansion plans, particularly with its HarmonyOS operating system. The company has had to navigate a complex landscape due to these sanctions, but it has assumed an important role in this regard.

According to recent reports, Huawei plans to expand HarmonyOS globally and make it a third mobile operating system option. In September last year, we informed you that the company was working on the HarmonyOS PC version. Now, they are working intensively to expand the mobile operating system globally.

Can HarmonyOS overcome US sanctions to go global?

Huawei President Xu Zhijun recently made important statements about HarmonyOS’s future. Xu stated that the company will work closely with app developers and provide the support needed to build a robust app ecosystem.

Huawei is placing a high value on expanding its app ecosystem to pave the way for HarmonyOS in the global market. The company believes it can reach the 1 million app target shortly, a milestone that is critical for HarmonyOS to reach a level rivaling Android and iOS.

HarmonyOS boasts a range of unique features and capabilities, including [specific features] that could revolutionize the mobile industry.

It’s worth noting that HarmonyOS is already gaining significant traction in China and has the potential to surpass iOS as the country’s second most popular mobile system. This not only suggests a promising future for HarmonyOS in China but also instills optimism about its potential to thrive in the global market, making the audience feel hopeful.

While the loss of Android support could potentially impact the user experience, Huawei is resolute in its commitment to finding solutions.

HarmonyOS Next, a significant update is being worked on. Certain applications and data will be migrated from cloud storage, indicating the company’s proactive approach to addressing this challenge. Additionally, Huawei is exploring partnerships with other app developers to ensure a seamless user transition.

Huawei is planning to enter a new phase in the mobile industry with HarmonyOS. While the company’s ambitions are considerable, it will be challenging to achieve these goals. The success of HarmonyOS in the global market will be determined over time.
