TikTok Notes, TikTok’s rival application to Instagram, has officially launched. The application, initially available in countries such as Australia and Canada, aims to offer more diversity and flexibility to TikTok’s existing user base.

Using TikTok Notes, users can easily share their photos and interact with other TikTok users.

TikTok Notes will offer a photo-sharing experience similar to Instagram, enabling users to interact with people with similar interests.

The app’s interface is almost identical to TikTok’s, allowing users to see multiple posts simultaneously. However, it also has features we are familiar with from Instagram, such as commenting.

TikTok Notes has emerged to compete with big photo-sharing platforms such as Instagram and Snapchat. With this new application, the social media giant aims to strengthen its community and increase interaction by increasing users’ content.

Users can also directly link their accounts together when switching to TikTok Notes, like between Instagram and Threads.

TikTok Notes’ design is slightly different from that of Instagram

Unlike Instagram’s single-file feed, the Notes app’s layout is a two-column grid. Accordingly, users will experience using a Pinterest-style application. On the other hand, there is also a “For You” section similar to TikTok.

Notes give the user more flexibility when looking at posts. When a post is tapped, it can be viewed in full-screen mode, and comments can be quickly accessed if desired. In addition, captions can be added right above the captions added to the images; this feature draws attention as a small but useful detail not available on Instagram.

Considering all these features, it is clear that Instagram is trying to become more competitive in the social media market with the Notes application. However, both platforms have their own unique features and followers. Therefore, it will always be a personal decision for users to choose.

The application has already excited many users. We look forward to seeing how it will turn into a platform in the future.
