So what is this, Bixby? I can hear you ask. Let’s go into the news details and find out what Bixby is!

Samsung to integrate generative AI into its virtual assistant Bixby

Won-joon Choi, Samsung’s vice president of mobile business, told CNBC that Bixby could become even smarter with Generative AI, a technology that enables the creation of new content based on existing data, and LLM (Large Language Model) technology, which enhances the understanding and generation of human language by machines. This integration could allow Bixby to evolve into a full-fledged conversational AI chatbot like ChatGPT and Google Gemini.

The model, which lagged behind the industry compared to its competitors, has gained many new features and has become an important part of the Galaxy ecosystem.

Samsung’s plans in the productive AI sector are unclear at the moment. The company has not shared how it will integrate AI into Bixby or what new features it will offer.

On the other hand, this move will increase the company’s ambition in artificial intelligence and may introduce Bixby to a wider user base.

What is Bixby, and what does it do?

Bixby is a virtual assistant developed by Samsung. It lets you control your phone with your voice, give commands, and easily handle your daily tasks, just like Siri on Apple devices.

Samsung’s plan to turn Bixby into an AI chatbot to rival ChatGPT has caused a stir in the tech world. The latest developments have us excited, too. It will be interesting to see how this Samsung virtual assistant evolves in the future.
