Let us break down all the Dragon’s Dogma 2 Sphinx riddles.
A side note: We won’t give any spoilers.
Riddle of Eyes
The first Dragon’s Dogma 2 Sphinx riddles challenge might lead you astray. She’ll demand “the item of greatest value” from a nearby cave. Venture inside – you’ll be met with skeletons, hobgoblins, and an ogre, guarding seemingly mundane treasures. But a keen eye will unveil the true prize.
Examine the cave thoroughly, for the answer might not be as obvious as it seems.
- Reward: Wakestone
Riddle of Madness
Love and madness are intertwined, says the Sphinx. To prove this point, she tasks you with bringing your “most beloved” to her. Now, this doesn’t necessarily mean a romantic partner. Think about characters whose quests you’ve completed, those who might hold you in high regard. If you’re unsure, continue your journey – the strength of your connection will be revealed when a character’s cheeks glow red during conversation.
Alternatively, patience can be your ally. Wait for an escort quest from a character who admires you. These missions often begin near your home. Accept the quest, and they’ll follow you wherever you go, allowing you to strategically bring them to the Sphinx.
And finally, for the truly bold, the Sealing Phial from the previous riddle offers a quirky solution. You can capture a character within the phial and present them to the Sphinx, though be warned – the phial will shatter upon their release.
- Reward: Portcrystal
Riddle of Wisdom
The Sphinx’s sense of humor surfaces in the “Riddle of Wisdom”.
She seeks her “parent” – a seemingly nonsensical request. But for the observant Arisen, the answer lies within the pawns themselves. Throughout your travels, you might have encountered pawns with Sphinx-related monikers – “SphinxFather” or “SphinxMother“.
The solution to this Dragon’s Dogma 2 Sphinx riddle lies in the Riftstones. The Riftstone of Fellowship near the entrance to Gran Soren is a prime location to find these pawns. Recruit one and bring them to the Sphinx – their very name holds the key.
- Reward: 1200 Rift Crystals
Riddle of Conviction
The “Riddle of Conviction” might seem straightforward at first. In this Dragon’s Dogma 2 Sphinx riddles riddle, Sphinx demands your “most prized possession“. However, this is a test of a different kind. It’s a test of your conviction and your commitment to the challenge.
The true prize lies in understanding the riddle’s title. Regardless of the item you offer, the Sphinx will warn you that you might never get it back. Here’s where your resolve comes in. Hand over an item, acknowledge the warning and watch as the riddle unfolds.
- Reward: The treasure chest will contain whatever item you gave to the Sphinx
Riddle of Rumination
This Dragon’s Dogma 2 Sphinx riddle is likely to cause the most frustration (and rightfully so). The Sphinx sends you back to the location where you found your very first Seeker’s Token.
The catch? You only have seven in-game days to complete this task. Unfortunately, the exact location might be shrouded in the fog of memory.
If you have a vague notion, retrace your steps from the beginning of the game, focusing on the northern regions or Vernworth.
If memory truly fails you, there’s no shame in seeking help online. However, if you manage to find that forgotten location, a new treasure, the Finder’s Token, will be waiting in place of your first Seeker’s Token. Bring this token back to the Sphinx to conquer this most demanding riddle.
- Reward: 3x Ferrystone
They could be hard to answer but Dragon’s Dogma 2 Sphinx riddles encourage exploration, reward curiosity, and add a layer of mystery to the rich world of Gransys. So, prepare your mind and your Arisen’s mettle – the Sphinx awaits!
