Dipinder Singh Khurana, Meta’s former vice president of infrastructure, is accused of stealing the company’s confidential information.

Khurana allegedly left Meta with sensitive information about data centers, suppliers, vendors, and AI programs.

Meta sued their ex-infrastructure VP

Khurana is believed to have used this information to help his new employer, an AI cloud startup, recruit colleagues.

On the other hand, Meta claims that the information Khurana took with him included employee levels, performance reviews, potential promotion information, and detailed compensation data for employees in the infrastructure organization.

Meta is accusing Khurana of various offenses, including breach of contract, breach of duty of loyalty, and violations of California’s computer crime laws. Khurana or his lawyers did not immediately respond.

Khurana, promoted to infrastructure vice president, had a 12-year track record at Meta. He left Meta in June 2023 to become senior vice president of supply chain operations at a startup still in stealth mode.

As I mentioned above, Meta alleges that Khurana stole confidential company documents when he left and used that information to gain an unfair advantage for his new employer. The social media giant has filed a lawsuit against Khurana. He wants him to be forced to pay damages for allegedly stealing company secrets and forfeit any money or benefits he received.

It is also alleged that Meta’s “Top Talent” spreadsheet led to at least eight employees joining Khurana’s new company. Meta says Khurana also tried to convince some of Khurana’s friends at Meta to work at the new company. Meta says it takes such misconduct seriously and will continue to protect confidential business and employee information.
