Get ready for the next big update from Apple – iOS 17.2! It’s expected to launch in December, and right now, we’re in the testing phase. Apple is fine-tuning things and adding cool new stuff to improve our iPhones and iPads. So, what’s the buzz about iOS 17.2 Beta 4? Well, it’s not just about fixing bugs; Apple is throwing in some exciting features too.

One cool thing coming with iOS 17.2 is the Journal app. You know, that app for writing down your thoughts and stuff? Apple is giving it a makeover. They’re adding features to make it more interesting and fun. It’s like turning your daily journal into a cool experience. Apple is still working on it to make sure it’s awesome when it officially comes out.

If you love music, you’re in for a treat. iOS 17.2 is bringing some new features to Apple Music. First up, there’s a ‘Favourites’ playlist. It makes your music experience more personalized. And here’s the really cool part – ‘Collaborative Playlists.’ It means you and your friends can create playlists together. Imagine making music lists as a team – that’s what Apple is introducing with this update.

Apart from these, folks at MacRumors have put together a great list that showcases all the important features. If you want to take a look at all the release notes, please visit Apple’s official developer page.

Here is what awaits you with the new update!

Default Notification Sound

Now, you can change your phone’s sound when you get notifications. Go to Sounds & Haptics, find “Default Alerts,” and pick the sound you like. You can even change how your phone vibrates for these notifications.

Collaborative Apple Music Playlists

Remember making playlists with friends? Well, it seems like Apple might be changing its mind about this feature. In the fourth beta, it looks like they took it out. We’ll have to wait and see if it makes it to the final version.

AppleCare & Warranty Settings

This is a small but important change. They renamed the “Coverage” section to “AppleCare & Warranty” in your settings. It gives you all the info about AppleCare for your iPhone and other devices.

Recording to an External Device

If you have an iPhone 15 Pro, you can now record fancy videos directly to an external device. But watch out – if your USB-C cable is too slow, a pop-up message will let you know external recording won’t work well.

iTunes Evolution

Big change here – Apple is planning to stop you from buying or renting TV shows and movies in the iTunes app. In the future, you’ll do it in the TV app. They’ve put it in the code, but it’s not happening just yet.

In a nutshell, iOS 17.2 Beta 4 is bringing some cool stuff to your iPhone and iPad. Apple wants to make things better and more fun for users. Keep an eye out for the official release in December – it could set new standards for how our phones work!
