Ukrainian deep-tech company Zibra AI has reached a milestone of 100,000 users on its platform, which simplifies the game development process with the help of artificial intelligence. This achievement was proudly announced by Sergey Tokarev, an IT investor and entrepreneur, and co-founder of the technology company Roosh.
“Zibra AI keeps on celebrating significant events these days. First, it entered into a partnership with Room8 Group, then successfully participated in the prestigious a16z Speedrun accelerator. Now, it’s an impressive number of users. In just two years of existence, the team has gathered a powerful community of developers, VFX artists, and gaming enthusiasts, totaling 100,000 individuals,” shared Sergey Tokarev.
Alex Petrenko, CEO and co-founder of Zibra AI, emphasized that the level of interaction within the community is even more impressive than the 100,000-user milestone.
“When we started this journey, we envisioned a platform that would change the lives of our users. Today, that vision becomes a reality. Our Discord server is a creative hub where developers can showcase themselves and their work. Moreover, our community frequently shares what they have created with the help of our tools on other platforms, for example, Reddit. We created Zibra AI to support creators, and luckily, our technology is finding resonance within the growing developer community,” said Alex Petrenko.
Founded in 2021 in Kyiv, Ukraine, Zibra AI is a part of the Roosh ecosystem. The company develops AI-based solutions for games and virtual environments to streamline the work of developers and designers in creating interactive VFX, 3D scenes, and characters. Zibra Effects, the startup’s flagship product, simplifies the creation process of visual effects by using real-time 3D simulation and realistic physics.
Zibra AI’s goal is to make the digital world more realistic and accelerate game development. The ecosystem, which has already amassed over 100,000 users, demonstrates how responsible AI use helps optimize the creative process.
In 2023, Zibra AI made it to the shortlist of the inaugural Speedrun accelerator by Andreessen Horowitz (a16z), an American venture capital fund. As an accelerator participant, Zibra AI received a $500,000 investment, marking the opening of the company’s seed round. The total investment in Zibra AI now stands at $2.5 million.
“The applicant pool reached 1,600 applications, but that did not stop Zibra AI from being among the 32 selected companies and the sole representative from Eastern Europe,” commented Sergey Tokarev when the news broke.
In August 2023, Zibra AI announced a partnership with the globally renowned video game developer, Room 8 Studio. The companies are planning to collaborate in the field of virtual content.
Zibra AI, a Ukrainian deep-tech company within the Roosh ecosystem, develops a platform for creating realistic effects based on AI for virtual worlds. Over time, the startup’s solutions have extended beyond the gaming industry and now serve various sectors, including VR/AR, filmmaking, production, and edtech.
