All GTA Online ghost locations (2023)
In the 2023 Halloween update for GTA Online, Rockstar introduced ten ghost locations for players to discover and capture using their in-game camera on their smartphones. Each ghost has a specific time frame during which it appears and two spawn points. Here’s a detailed breakdown of all GTA Online ghost locations:
- Ghost 1 (8 PM – 9 PM):
- Main spawn: The first ghost is found on the first floor of a barn.
- Alternate spawn: If the ghost isn’t there, circle the barn; it can also appear on the opposite side.
- Ghost 2 (9 PM – 10 PM):
- Main spawn: The second ghost is inside an RV.
- Alternate spawn: If you can’t spot it, move to the other side of the RV and look through the rectangular window.
- Ghost 3 (10 PM – 11 PM):
- Main spawn: This ghost is haunting an abandoned, broken-down bus.
- Alternate spawn: Check outside of the abandoned bus on the other side.
- Ghost 4 (11 PM – 12 AM):
- Main spawn: You’ll find this ghost at the base of the lighthouse.
- Alternate spawn: It can also spawn on top of the lighthouse.
- Ghost 5 (1 AM – 2 AM):
- Main spawn: This ghost is perched on top of the house at the front.
- Alternate spawn: Move to the right side of the room, and you can see it through the window in the back room.

- Main spawn: This ghost is on top of the Church.
- Alternate spawn: Check in the Church cemetery.
- Ghost 7 (3 AM – 4 AM):
- Main spawn: This ghost resides in the storage shed of the house in the back. It can be seen through the window.
- Alternate spawn: You might find it in the attic of the house, visible through a broken roof on the front.
- Ghost 8 (4 AM – 5 AM):
- Main spawn: You’ll find this ghost on top of the small waterfall at Tongva Hills.
- Alternate spawn: Check on the rock to the left in the middle of the waterfall.
- Ghost 9 (5 AM – 6 AM):
- Main spawn: This ghost is on top of the tunnel entrance.

- Ghost 10 (12 AM – 1 AM):
- Special spawn: The tenth ghost is Johnny Klebitz, a character also featured in GTA IV. In GTA 5’s story mode, he’s killed by Trevor. Johnny’s ghost will only appear after you’ve captured the images of the previous nine ghosts. Visit the location on the following night between 12 AM and 1 AM to witness his ghost. There is only one spawn point for this ghost.
Rewards:
- Each captured ghost rewards you with $20,000 and 500 RP.
- Capturing all ten ghosts rewards you with an additional $50,000, making the total rewards for this activity $250,000 and 5,000 RP.
- You also receive a unique “Ghosts Exposed” livery for the Albany Brigham vehicle as a special reward for completing this spooky and rewarding quest.
