Apple has announced new iCloud storage plans at the annual event, and interestingly, it was one of the most anticipated announcements as it got the “loudest real applause” in the theater. Here is everything you need to know about the new plans!

Apple has some exciting news for all its iPhone and iCloud users! During the recent iPhone 15 event, Apple announced something that will make many people happy: they’re offering much bigger storage options for iCloud. This means you can safely store more photos, videos, documents, and stuff in iCloud. However, there’s one thing you should know – these new storage options are a bit expensive.

New iCloud storage plans: More gigabytes, more smiles

Until now, if you had an individual iCloud account, you could get up to 2 TB of storage for $9.99 per month. But starting from September 18th, Apple is giving you the option to get either 6 TB or 12 TB of storage. That’s a lot more space for all your digital things! This is great news if you’ve ever run out of room on iCloud.

Now, here’s the part that might make you think twice. The 6 TB iCloud+ plan costs $29.99 each month in the United States. If you want the massive 12 TB plan, it’s going to cost you double that at $59.99 per month. It’s more expensive than before, but if you always need more space, it could be worth it.

Apple believes in sharing, and these new plans are no different. You can share the 6 TB, and 12 TB iCloud+ plans with up to six people using Family Sharing. This way, your family or friends can all use the extra space together, making it a good deal for everyone.

You don’t just get space when you sign up for these bigger storage plans. You also get all the cool iCloud+ features like iCloud Private Relay and HomeKit Secure Video. These things help keep your data safe and protect your privacy.

iCloud 6 TB

The 6 TB package is one of the new iCloud storage plans that will be available for users soon. It is expected that the 6 TB plan will cost roughly $30 in the United States but the pricing for the rest of the world will probably be clear very soon.

iCloud 12 TB

The 12 TB plan will be the flagship of the lineup as users will be able to back up a huge size of files. This is not an average iCloud user would opt into but if you are a photographer or a videomaker, this plan might be the one you should be going for, considering the new camera updates of the latest iPhones.

Can you have it all?

One big question is whether you can combine these new plans with an Apple One Premier subscription, which gives you an extra 2 TB of storage. If that’s possible, you could have a whopping 14 terabytes of storage! That’s a lot of space for your digital stuff.

The countdown is on, and starting from September 18th, you can get your hands on these new iCloud storage plans. If you’re tired of running out of space on iCloud, this is your chance to upgrade. Yes, they might cost a bit more, but having all that extra storage space is going to make your digital life a lot easier.

In conclusion, Apple is giving its users a big storage boost with these new 6 TB and 12 TB iCloud options. They’re trying to make sure you never run out of room for your digital stuff again. While it might be a bit pricey, the convenience and peace of mind of having all that extra storage might be worth it for many users. So, get ready to dive into these new iCloud options on September 18th, and enjoy the extra space!
