Pokemon Go is kicking off its new season, Season 12: Adventures Abound, with an exciting in-game event titled “Pokemon GO Paldean Adventure.” This event is all about celebrating the ninth generation of Pokemon, aligning perfectly with this season’s theme.
Here’s everything you need to know about this event, which runs from Tuesday, September 5 at 10 am local time to Sunday, September 10 at 10 am local time.
How to choose a path in the Pokemon GO Paldean Adventure event?
In Pokemon GO choose a path option for the A Paldean Adventure Special Research paves the way for an exciting decision. Here’s how to make your choice:
- Starter Pokemon: From the early stages, it looks like the only changes to research tasks will be things like needing to catch and evolve your Starter of choice at least once. Likewise, you will earn more encounters with your selected Starter Pokémon along with other rewards that will remain static.
- Personal preference: There shouldn’t be many significant differences between the paths in terms of rewards, so you should pick the Pokemon you like the best. Go with the one that appeals to you the most, whether it’s Sprigatito, Fuecoco, or Quaxly.
- No expiration: It’s essential to note that this research is not limited to the A Paldean Adventure event alone. It’s tied to the wider Adventures Abound season, running until December 1. You can claim it at any point until that date, and there’s currently no expiration time for completing it.
Choose your path wisely, and embark on your Paldean Adventure in Pokemon Go.
New debuts of the Pokemon GO Paldean Adventure
One of the highlights of this event is the introduction of several Pokemon from the ninth generation to Pokemon Go. These include the three starter Pokemon and their evolutions:
- Sprigatito, Floragato, and Meowscarada.
- Fuecoco, Crocalor, and Skeledirge.
- Quaxly, Quaxwell, and Quaquaval.
To evolve these Pokemon, you’ll need 25 Candy to move from the first stage to the second, and an additional 100 Candy to reach their final evolution.
Another exciting debut is Lechonk and its evolution, Oinkologne. To evolve Lechonk, you’ll need 50 Lechonk Candy, and the evolution will vary depending on whether you evolve a male or female Lechonk. Additionally, there’s a chance to encounter a Shiny version of Lechonk during this event.
Also, during this event, certain Pokemon like Hoppip, Houndour, Buizel, and Fletchling will have an increased chance of being Shiny when encountered, so be sure to seize this rare opportunity.
