If you’re a dedicated Pokémon enthusiast, you might want to tread carefully on social media today thanks to the Pokemon DLC leaks.
Once again, a Pokémon game has spilled the beans before its official release. Some juicy tidbits about Pokémon Scarlet and Violet’s upcoming DLC, “The Teal Mask,” have surfaced online.
Scheduled to drop on September 13, “The Teal Mask” is part one of a two-part expansion known as “The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero.” Social media platforms have been buzzing with leaked images of new Pokémon and forms from the DLC. If you’re keen on diving into the game without any spoilers, it’s advisable to steer clear of social media or use word filters now.
The content of the Pokemon DLC leaks: Spoiler alert!
These leaks, primarily gathered by the Centro Leaks account, purportedly reveal new Pokémon, along with their abilities and locations within the game. While it wasn’t independently verified whether these leaks are authentic, the leaked content aligns with expectations for the DLC. “The Teal Mask” is set in the Kitakami region, drawing inspiration from traditional Japanese culture.
Bloodmoon Ursaluna
One of the most eye-catching reveals is Bloodmoon Ursaluna, which seems to be a new iteration of Ursaluna, the final evolution of the Teddiursa line introduced in Generation 8. With its deep crimson fur and an aura of mystery, Bloodmoon Ursaluna exudes a particular charm.
Opergon
Another intriguing discovery is Ogerpon, a Pokémon previously introduced, now sporting three distinct forms. What’s truly fascinating is Ogerpon’s ability to remove its mask, revealing hidden traits and unleashing new potential.
Sinistcha
Additionally, the leaks hint at Sinistcha, apparently part of the evolutionary line of another Pokémon inspired by matcha, Poltchageist. Sinistcha’s design captures the essence of matcha tea culture, with its serene appearance and intricate details.
Unfortunately for many players, these kind of leaks have become somewhat par for the course in the Pokémon universe. In the past, someone shared photographs of a Pokémon Sword and Shield strategy guide online before the game’s official 2019 release, leading to legal action by The Pokémon Company. Similarly, Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl faced early leaks in 2021, as did Pokémon Legends: Arceus in 2022. Most recently, The Pokémon Company had to grapple with a flurry of leaks for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet after entire copies of the game found their way into the wild.
As excitement mounts for the upcoming Pokémon Scarlet and Violet DLC, fans will likely continue to eagerly anticipate new surprises and revelations as the release date draws nearer.
One of the recent examples of these new surprises and revelations in the game was the release of 7-Star Raid event for Mewtwo.
