The latest Mila Kunis WoW partnership offers a pet pack in the game that aims to help Ukrainian people who are currently at war.
As a part of a charity bundle for the aid of Ukraine, Blizzard has released new pets for World of Warcraft. The publisher announced the information in a video starring Ukrainian-born actress Mila Kunis. The World of Warcraft retail version’s Sunny, a cheery sunflower dog, and Wrath of the Lich King Classic’s Flurky are both included in the Pet Pack for Ukraine bundle. BlueCheck Ukraine, an organization that identifies, evaluates, and supports Ukrainian NGOs, will receive 100% of the bundle’s sales.
Players in World of Warcraft can call upon pets to follow them obediently across breathtaking landscapes and brutal battlegrounds. Anything from a simple bug to a stunning phoenix can be one of these pets. Sunny is a colorful dog with blue streaks that stand in for the Ukrainian flag’s colors. The Murloc Florky is holding a sunflower in one of his webbed hands.
The ongoing Ukraine war began in February 2022 when Russian President Vladimir Putin began a “special military operation” there. Since then, tens of thousands of people have died, and millions have been forced to flee their homes.
BlueCheck Ukraine’s funds will first be used to address the most urgent requirements. According to Kunis in the video, Ukraine’s medical infrastructure is currently in critical need. Currently, BlueCheck’s main objective is to provide hospitals, particularly pediatric units, with life-saving generators and medical supplies.
“The people of Ukraine are in desperate need, and BlueCheck does incredible work in providing resources quickly to local vetted groups, including medical assistance, humanitarian aid, and everything in between. The World of Warcraft community is the first gaming community I was ever a part of, with strangers who didn’t care who or what I was—I know how giving they can be, and what they can achieve when we work together. I’m proud to be making a difference to countless lives in Ukraine alongside them,” said Mila Kunis.
What comes with the Mila Kunis WoW pack?
Two dogs that match the hues of the Ukrainian flag are included in the pet pack for Ukraine:
- Sunny – a golden retriever pet for World of Warcraft characters
- Flurky – a murloc pet holding a sunflower (the national flower of Ukraine) for World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King Classic™ characters

“World of Warcraft is a global community full of players who support each other both in-game and out–—this is our chance to do something that will make a difference at scale. Thanks to our generous players, our charity pet program has raised millions of dollars over the years to help those in need when they need it, and the victims of the war in Ukraine need our help right now. I know our incredible player community will step up and lead their pets around Azeroth with pride, knowing that their donation is going toward the life-saving work of BlueCheck Ukraine,” said World of Warcraft executive producer Holly Longdale.
How much is the Mila Kunis WoW pack?
The pack costs $20 and is accessible through August 29. It appears that Sunny and Florky will remain exclusive to this cause even though some pets released in bundles occasionally appear separately in the World of Warcraft in-game store later. This is because the text on the battle.net page for the bundle states that “These versions of pets are special editions available as a part of this initiative only.”
