In Dying Light 2, The Fortune Teller is a side mission. Follow this instruction to complete the optional The Fortune Teller task.
Action role-playing game Dying Light 2: Stay Human was created and released in 2022 by Techland. On February 4, 2022, the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S platforms received the sequel to Dying Light (2015).
A cloud-based Nintendo Switch version is in the works. With the acclaim for the gameplay, parkour system, and open environment but criticism for the plot, the game earned generally positive reviews. In its first month of availability, 5 million units were sold. Let’s dive into the mission!
- Region: Lower Dam Ayre
- Quest Giver: Mahala
- Requirement: Assign the Saint Paul Water Tower to the Survivors and activate the ‘Spruce’ Windmill
- Reward: Crystal Ball
- Mission Info: An eccentric woman, Mahala, claimed she could tell the future. She said she’d tell me something about my future if I brought her three King playing cards.
Where is the location of The Fortune Teller in Dying Light 2?
After giving the Survivors the Saint Paul Water Tower and turning on the ‘Spruce’ Windmill, you may begin The Fortune Teller, a side quest in Lower Dam Ayre, by speaking with Mahala at the Artist Workshop. To prevent the area from ending up as Renegade territory upon taking these facilities, be sure to complete the windmill first.
From the Fortune Teller’s deck, find the Kings
The four King cards must be collected from various game areas:
- Bolter, the King of Diamonds, will be the opening card, directly next to Mahala.
- The second card, King of Clubs – Rampage, is hidden in a shop at the PK Floating Fortress behind a seat.
- Inside the Fish Eye Canteen, on a table close to the bar, is where you’ll find the third card, a King of Hearts known as “Viral.”
King of Spades – Goon, the fourth card, is the prize for successfully completing the side mission “Infected Intelligence Quiz.”
- Get the Kings to return to Mahala.
- Return to Mahala and chat with her once you have all four King cards.
This completes the side quest for The Fortune Teller in Dying Light 2 Stay Human.
About Dying Light 2
“Over twenty years ago in Harran, we fought the virus—and lost. Now, we’re losing again. The City, one of the last large human settlements, is torn by conflict. Civilization has fallen back into the Dark Ages. And yet, we still have hope. You are a wanderer with the power to change the fate of The City. But your exceptional abilities come at a price. Haunted by memories you cannot decipher, you set out to learn the truth… and find yourself in a combat zone. Hone your skills, as to defeat your enemies and make allies, you’ll need both fists and wits. Unravel the dark secrets behind the wielders of power, choose sides and decide your destiny. But wherever your actions take you, there’s one thing you can never forget—stay human.” –From official website.
Dying Light’s events eventually lead to a return to normalcy when the Harran Virus has been contained and vaccinated against. The once-contained virus suddenly becomes airborne and kills off most of the human population after an outbreak and a series of mutations. The last of the human survivors must join forces to defend themselves from an oncoming swarm of zombies. In this shattered globe, your choices will either usher the remnants of mankind into a bright new era or seal their demise for all time.
You play as Aiden Caldwell, an infected survivor on the hunt for his sister in the City, where you come across and can choose to help other groups situated within the city, all of which have an impact on your story and your experience playing the game. The game takes place in 2036, 22 years after the events of Dying Light and 15 years after The Fall, a terrible event that occurred in late December 2021 when a new mutant strain of the Harran Virus escaped GRE custody and spread throughout the world, plunging it into a period known as the Modern Dark Ages.
The events of Dying Light 2: Stay Human take place in the European metropolis of Villedor, sometimes known as “The City.” When compared to Harran, the amount of data available about Villedor’s precise location and political history is far smaller.
For instance, it is unclear if Villedor, like Harran, was an independent country or a constituent state of a bigger one. We do know that the country it was a part of was a part of the European Union and that the city itself had a population in the millions, making it one of the most populous in Europe. The city’s design is clearly inspired by Eastern European towns, and the game uses Type E electrical plugs, which are standard in that part of the world.
