Prepare yourself for a daring dive into the treacherous abyss of Titan’s toxic ocean because, in this article, we are going to offer a comprehensive guide on how to complete Destiny 2 Operation Fulgurite.
If at any point you become overwhelmed with the task, check out the opportunity to dive into Destiny 2 focused fishing if you haven’t yet. Although we hope that this guide will prevent that from happening. Let’s dig in!
How to complete Destiny 2 Operation Fulgurite?
Thankfully, our journey commences from a midway point. Approach the cylinder door ahead and unlatch it by manipulating the handle located to the left.
Choosing Ahsa’s offering
As the door swings open, you’ll find yourself in a familiar battleground where we previously engaged in a relentless battle against the Taken hordes. However, this time, there’s no need to retrieve batteries. Instead, proceed directly towards the far end of the plaza where a pair of intriguing Ahsa blessings awaits. Select the one that aligns most favorably with your build and playstyle.
Finding the caves
After making your blessing selection, the door will grant you passage. Step inside, and a forked path will unfold before you. Although both routes converge eventually, opt for the right entrance. Descend into the water below, where you’ll notice a pillar to your left, adorned with a lever. Positioned behind you is a locked door. Engage with the lever to unlock the door that lies in your wake.
Straighten out after entering the door. On your left, there is a drop that is accentuated in neon pink.
Drop, after which go left. Another cliff will be available for jumping from. Do so. Observe that there is a locked door behind you as you fall. We’ll have to engage with the lever on the pole in front of us to unlock it. Do that, and then step back through the door.
There is a straight ahead. As you do so, step outside into the fresh air.
Activating the Egregore Resonator
As you descend from the cliff, a striking boss arena will come into view, impossible to miss. Take the plunge and make your way toward the designated white circle. Install the Egregore Resonator within this marked area. Upon planting it, brace yourself for a series of relentless enemy onslaughts that will challenge your skills and endurance. Prepare for multiple waves of enemies to engage you in combat.
Wave 1: Depositing two Corrupted Coral
The initial wave introduces a pair of formidable foes known as “CoralDevourers”, manifesting as Taken Knights. These adversaries will be strategically positioned on opposite sides of the map. Your objective is to eliminate them and collect two samples of Corrupted Coral they leave behind.
There will be a small group of Taken Acolytes with these Knights. A white Corrupted Coral will be dropped if you kill the Coral Devourer.
The Corrupted Coral must be picked up and placed in a silver canister within 20 seconds. The canister will be identified by a grey diamond.
Kill all Knights, then place all Corals to start to wave two.
Wave 2: Depositing two Corrupted Coral
Two additional Coral Devourer Knights and two Wrathful Interlopers, yellow-barred Taken Phalanx, will be present in this Wave.
The Coral Devourer Knights must be eliminated, just as in the previous round, and Corrupted Coral must be deposited in the silver canisters strewn about the arena.
Additionally, you must eliminate the two Taken Phalanx.
Wave 3: Depositing three Corrupted Coral
The tricky part is right here. You’ll have two more Wrathful Interlopers this time. You’ll have three Coral Devourer Knights and the swarms they bring with them this time, though. There will be a good number of foes, so we strongly advise you to kill the Taken Vandal on the ledges above the arena and take their place. You will have a line of sight to the majority of the arena’s regions if you accomplish this.
Taken Knight fire damage should be avoided, and you need to dump Corrupted Coral within 20 seconds of it spawning. If you don’t, it will despawn and a new Coral Devourer Knight will emerge. I advise you to save the Knights for last because of this.
You will be transferred to the chamber outside the boss room once you have placed all three.
Planting the Egregore Resonator
Prepare for combat by clearing the Egregore Resonator outside the boss entrance.
Defeating Kelgorath, Taken from Bones
The boss of the week is a gigantic Taken Knight and all of his Taken companions, as you might anticipate. And the similarity between this fight and a Gambit match may not be a coincidence.
Kelgorath is simple to kill from a distance, has a three-segment health bar, and doesn’t move much. He is flanked by Goblins, who will render him invulnerable, and Taken Phalanx, which deal terrible damage to anyone who comes within melee range of them. For this reason, we advise staying as much as you can on the higher ridge of the arena and, when necessary, eliminating the goblins near Kelgorath.
Three Taken Blights will bloom as soon as you reduce the boss’ health by one state, and Kelgorath will lose his immunity. To eliminate the Taken Blight, you must enter its dome and fire at its center.
Keep in mind that enemies will be immune to harm while you are inside the Blight. However, the Blight and enemy strikes will cause continual damage to you. This makes it a good idea to eliminate as many foes as you can, giving the Taken Phalanx top priority. Due to the fact that many of these Blights are perched on platforms, they frequently attempt to knock you off.
Once the three Taken Blights are eliminated, Kelgorath will once more be at risk. You can harm him for a different health state by doing so. He will become vulnerable once more as you reach the final section, and only two Taken Blights will emerge. Remove them, then definitively put an end to Kelgorath.
Claiming the Egregore Coral
The coral we fought so hard to obtain will be on the platform at the very end of the boss arena. After you claim it, a Deep Dive chest will appear. Take that as well; you earned it.
Completing a Deep Dive
Return to the map and then proceed to the H.E.L.M. You’ll need to finish another Deep Dive, which will essentially repeat the previous assignment for you.
Listen to the conversation
After finishing the Deep Dive, return to the H.E.L.M. and proceed to Sloane’s portal. Enjoy yourselves while the Iron Wolf and the Drifter converse.
Giving Coral to Sloane
Enter the portal after Drifter leaves. Your waiter is Sloane. Sloane will communicate with Ahsa, giving us our first glimpse of the identity of the Final Shape. Enter the gateway and exit.
Speaking to Sloane at the Holodeck
Visit the Season of the Deep vendor counter next to the portal. Sloane will give you a peek into her history and psychological makeup. And with that, our mission is complete—at least for the third week of the season of the deep.
