PlayStation 5 owners, buckle up! PlayStation Plus’ Extra and Premium free games for June 2023 have been announced and will be added to the service on Tuesday, June 20. This is a great opportunity for PS5 owners to expand their game libraries and I’m sure they’ll be very happy.
This month gets 24 games in the Extra section, which gives gamers access to a library of hundreds of games to download. Big names include Far Cry 6 (PS5/PS4), Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge (PS5/PS4) and Deux Ex: Mankind Divided (PS4). Also, acclaimed indie titles such as Inscryption (PS4/PS5) and Rogue Legacy 2 (PS5/PS4) will be waiting for those looking for a new adventure. Hold on tight: Rogue Legacy 2 will make its PlayStation debut on June 20th.
For Premium subscribers, Killzone: Liberation, Worms and the LucasArts classic Herc’s Adventures. These three games are emulated in HD, with game save and rewind functionality, as well as separate prize lists, usually for the PS4 and PS5 versions.
The fun is not over! There are games for the whole family and games to keep the kids entertained: PAW Patrol Mighty Pups: Save Adventure Bay! (PS5/PS4), DC League of Super Pets: The Adventures of Krypto and Ace (PS4) and My Friend Peppa Pig (PS4). These games offer a great opportunity for quality family time.
Sony Begins Cloud-Based Playstation 5 Game Testing
Sony has announced that it has started testing cloud-based streaming of PlayStation 5 (PS5) games. Premium PlayStation Plus membership will soon have access to this functionality. PlayStation 5 games that are part of the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog and Game Trials, as well as digital PS5 games supported by the service, will be available to stream in the cloud.
With PS5’s cloud feature, users will no longer have to save games locally before transferring them to other devices. To play PS5 games on a PC, Mac, iOS or Android device, you’ll need to use a PS5 as the host system to download and stream games.
Sony CEO Kenichiro Yoshida made a cryptic comment earlier this month that the company is still in its infancy when it comes to cloud gaming. Nevertheless, Sony is keen to offer Premium users as many games as possible for cloud streaming.
Celebrating One Year of PlayStation Plus Revamp
Don’t forget that games listed as PS4 titles are also playable on PS5 and will probably work much better.
This month marks one year since PlayStation Plus relaunched with the three-tier system, and to celebrate, Sony is sending out codes for free avatars and wallpapers, adding some special prizes to the PlayStation Stars program, and running a contest to win a PS5 and PSVR2 starting June 20.
Even more exciting is that PS5 games will soon be available to stream for Premium subscriptions. Initially, this will be tested with selected games from the Plus library and select games that users may have purchased. At first you’ll only be able to stream PS5 games to the console, but we’re sure this will be extended to PC sooner rather than later.
We know how happy these developments have made PlayStation 5 owners. With new games and features, gaming has never been more exciting for PS5 owners with a PlayStation Plus subscription. Try new games throughout June and enjoy all the benefits PlayStation Plus has to offer! You can’t miss this opportunity!
