How to complete Mayachin Shrine?
Jump onto the spinning platform, wait for it to spin you around to the other side, and you’ll be right where you need to be to start solving the A Fixed Device puzzle once you’re inside the Mayachin Shrine.
Constructing a beam and using it to launch a ball and strike a target is the main objective of this Shrine’s challenge.
Before you get there, though, there are a few things to take care of. The target we need will emerge on the far left of the room when you first stand on a square pressure plate in front of you.
There will also be a glowing crystal next to the pressure plate, and on the other side of the chamber is a dispenser that will distribute a ball every few seconds, but we’ll get to those later.
For the time being, you should descend the stairs to the level below, where a few white beams and a green stake are lying on the left. You need to join the two white beams using the Ultrahand power, then attach that expanded beam to the stake’s flat end.
Once everything is connected, move the entire beam by using Ultrahand once more, placing the stake end first, and slotting it into the stone block in the middle of the room.
When the beam is attached, this actuator will make up the entire mechanism that, when the aforementioned crystal is struck, rotates and strikes whatever is in its path.
You’ll need to move an unoccupied stake in the room’s center before going back to the crystal since it prohibited the ball from the overhead dispenser from rolling off the platform and needs to be relocated for the puzzle to be solved.
When the stake is out of the way, go back to the crystal and hit it once a ball has landed on the penultimate white tile of the playing field. This will turn the crystal green and cause the beam to swing into the ball and strike it.
Note that this is prior to the beam being constructed. The objective is to hit the ball up the ramp and over to the target on the far left, which may require a few tries to get it correctly. The target will change from yellow to green once you’ve hit it, and the entrance to the finished shrine will then open.
Pick up the secret chest in the chamber across from the just-opened door before leaving. To accomplish this, use the mechanism to perform a similar action on a new target that will have just appeared on the far right of the room as a result of your success.
This time, though, a hanging wall is preventing the ball from moving, so you must remove it before moving on. To accomplish this, use Ultrahand to insert one of the other two stakes laying around the room into the block’s underside, where the wall is suspended by chains. Once inserted, lift the wall up and choose “attach” when prompted to hold the wall in place up against the stake.
Once you’ve completed this, head back to the crystal and make sure it’s in its original state (it should be flashing yellow). Then, hit it once more to swing the beam when the ball you’re dispensing reaches the platform’s edge. To propel the ball across to the new target, you’ll want the beam to swing and strike it just before it fully contacts the metal grating.
Continue trying until you hit the target, which will turn it green, and unlock the door to the hidden chest.
After finishing, take your gift from the chest and move to the opposite side of the space to interact with the statue in order to obtain a second Light of Blessing and finish the Shrine.
With retrieving your reward, the Mayachin Shrine quest is going to be entirely completed. If you are in need of any other Tears of the Kingdom Guide, check out how to get Zora armor Tears of the Kingdom.
