How to open a Fortnite Two Lock Chest
It’s worth noting that opening a two-lock chest may require more than one attempt, especially if players are struggling to find a chest that contains the loot they want. However, since challenges last until the end of the season, players have plenty of time to complete the task.
Additionally, some players may find it helpful to team up with others to increase their chances of locating and unlocking a two-lock chest successfully. Below, you can see all the steps that you need to take in order to complete the challenge:
Obtaining keys
The first step is to acquire two Keys, which are necessary to unlock a two-lock chest. There are several methods for obtaining Keys, including buying them from an NPC called CRZ-8 or finding them by opening other chests. While both methods are viable, buying Keys outright from CRZ-8 is the most efficient option. This NPC is located at the Bamboo Circle (Dueling Circle) Landmark, just north of Mega City.
You can also get two Keys at once by choosing the Keymaster Reality Augment. However, keep in mind that there is no assurance that it will show during a match because Reality Augments are unpredictable in nature.
Locating a Holo-Chest spot with a Fortnite two lock chest
Once players have obtained their two Keys, the next step is to locate a Holo-Chest location on the island that contains a two-lock chest. These chests typically spawn alongside other Holo Chests that contain high-tier loot, but unfortunately, there is no way to determine which spawn point will contain a two-lock chest. Players will need to search manually and may need to check multiple locations before finding a two-lock chest.
Using two keys
After locating a two-lock chest, players will need to use their two Keys to unlock it. Each key must be inserted manually, one at a time. Once the chest is unlocked, the challenge will be completed, and players will receive their reward.
Which Two-Lock Chest Is Worth Opening?
For the most part, it’s best to aim for the two-lock chests that contain Heisted (Exotic) weapons, which are incredibly rare and offer powerful benefits. The Heisted Run ‘N’ Gun SMG and Blink Mag SMG are excellent choices for close-range combat, while the Hesited Explosive Assault Rifle offers a powerful blast radius that can damage enemies. However, the blast radius of the rifle can be dodged by using a Kinetic Blade’s dash ability or double-jumping while wielding a Lightsaber.
