TikTok Series is out! The business said on Tuesday that a new feature called “Series” would be released for TikTok, allowing qualified producers to submit content behind a paywall.
The new monetization option provides content makers with yet another avenue to monetize their app-hosted creations. In the next months, applications will be accessible for anyone who want to join the exclusive group of creators who have access to the Series at this time.
What is TikTok Series?
With the introduction of the TikTok Series, users who make videos on the app now have a new way to earn money. Series allows artists to publish material in batches of up to 80 videos, each of which can be up to 20 minutes long. Before the maximum length for a video on the app was 10 minutes, so this is a change from the norm. These videos can cover a wide range of topics, from how-to guides for fitness and cuisine to comedic skits and everything in between.

Today’s launch doesn’t come as much of a surprise. We reported it earlier. When this new feature launches, it will allow TikTok to compensate better creators, who are the app’s driving factor because their viral videos have been vital to the app’s growth and popularity. Instagram, however, already allows creators to publish subscriber-only content, so the idea of exclusive content for paying customers isn’t novel.
The feature is currently restricted to a small group of creators. We will soon be accepting submissions from new producers that are interested in making their own videos.
By subscribing to a creator’s Series, fans can watch original, extended works from that person. Because of the longer video option, they will also be able to watch more in-depth and comprehensive videos than the typical fare on TikTok. The Series’ content must still meet TikTok’s community standards.
TikTok is making these modifications in an attempt to increase its user base in the United States, where it has recently seen a leveling off. In addition, TikTok Series will host its own website to monitor the reach of these clips.

How much you can earn with TikTok Series?
Beyond the £1 billion creator fund created in 2020, TikTok Series provides creators with another earning opportunity. Viewing videos in the Series category will cost users money. The exact cost, however, will be determined by the creator’s asking price. Creators can set their prices at anything from $1 to $190 USD per episode.
A user’s profile or video descriptions may contain links to the premium content. Creators’ earnings from their videos will be reduced by 30% to compensate the app.
Together with LIVE subscriptions and TikTok Pulse, the brand-new TikTok Series feature and Creativity Program are two of TikTok’s most recent revenue initiatives. Tipping and gifting are further ways for customers to support the company.
As rival platforms increase their own reward options for producers, TikTok has decided to do the same. Earlier this month, YouTube started giving Shorts makers a cut of the ad money they generate. Shorts has a significant advantage over its rivals because no other short-form video platform has worked out how to share ad money.
In the face of increased competition from other companies, TikTok has made recent announcements to satisfy creators and provide them with more options to make money through the site.
