The Wild Hearts FPS issue has been a real problem since the game’s early-access version and finally, the developer has announced an update that will fix the issue once and for all. This update will help PC players enjoy the game just like console players who haven’t faced any FPS-related issues.
Wild Hearts was one of the most anticipated games of the year both for PC and console players. Even though none of the console players faced a similar issue, the PC players came up with a Wild Hearts FPS problem that made the game unplayable. The issue was known since the early access but developer Omega Force failed to come up with a solution until the official release. An announcement was made regarding the fix to the issue but the date is yet to be known.
However, one of the players found a solution and shared it online that could help others until the official update comes. So without further ado, here is how to fix the Wild Hearts FPS problem!
How to fix Wild Hearts FPS issue?
We have received reports from some players who have experienced issues with Wild Hearts FPS problem. Specifically, some players have reported that despite the overlay showing 60 fps, the game feels much slower and more like 20 fps. This can be a frustrating issue, and we understand that it can detract from the overall gameplay experience.
However, we have discovered a potential solution to this problem that has worked for some players. Ryan Johnson reported that putting on their headphones resolved the issue and made the game run smoothly. This led us to investigate the role of audio settings in the game’s performance.
Ryan also found that changing the default stereo option to 7.1 / 5.1 in the audio settings can improve the game’s performance and increase the fps. This has made the game much more playable and enjoyable for some players. You may see Ryan’s Steam Blog post using the link here.
We understand that technical issues can be frustrating, but we hope that this solution can help improve your experience with Wild Hearts FPS issues. It’s important to remember that there may not always be a straightforward solution to a problem, and experimentation may be necessary to find a resolution. We encourage players to continue to share their experiences and solutions to help each other out.
Although there is no official fix for the Wild Hearts FPS problem, wolf_hands, a member of the Wild Hearts Dev team, said this about the mentioned fix in a Reddit post:
”We’ve been testing this fix that u/ProfessionalAnimal27 and Ryan highlighted and have confirmed reports that, in some cases, switching your “output settings” in the in-game Audio settings from Stereo to 71.ch/5.1ch can – again, in some cases – yield performance improvements.
This workaround doesn’t seem to work in all cases and players already running recommended spec at over 60fps are unlikely to see an improvement but while we investigate and work on the patch, please try it yourself and see if it improves performance for you.
Huge thank you again to u/ProfessionalAnimal27 and Ryan for finding this workaround. And thank you to all the hunters this has affected for your patience while we work on a permanent fix. The patch we spoke about yesterday is still on track for release next week and we hope it will improve performance on impacted PC’s.”
