Hogwarts Legacy Daedalian Keys are one of the game’s most challenging collectibles; sixteen flying keys may be found anywhere across Hogwarts.
To get a house token, you must drag them back to their cupboards and slam them into the keyholes there. The home chest in your common room can be opened for a very unique reward once you have gathered all sixteen of the tokens.
How to start the quest and find Hogwarts Legacy Daedalian Keys?
You can begin the quest to locate these flying keys by speaking with Nellie Oggspire in the Transfiguration Courtyard. Keep an eye out for the marker because the quest opens up rather early. Unfortunately, you won’t be able to obtain all of the Daedalian Keys until at least Fall, when you complete the “The Caretaker’s Lunar Lament” quest and unlock Alohomora, which provides you access to several restricted regions like the Faculty Tower and upper Clock Tower.
Below are the locations of all the Hogwarts Legacy Daedalian keys as well as the contents of each house’s treasure box. Below, you can find all 16 locations for the Hogwarts Legacy Daedalian Keys and the ways to retrieve them.
Astronomy Tower
In the Astronomy Wing section. As part of the mission, you are sent to this area. Fast-travel to the Astronomy Tower Floo Flame, then climb farther up the tower to find the key. The cabinet can be found in the elongated space close to the Floo Flame.
Rhinoceros Skeleton
Also in the Astronomy Wing. Fast-travel to the Transfiguration Courtyard Floo Flame, head through the doors behind you, then up the stairs and to the left to the Rhinoceros Skeleton to find the key floating nearby. It leads to the right up the stairs to a cabinet on the floor directly above.
Central Hall
Nearby the Library Annex. To find the key by the entrance to the Greenhouses, fast-travel to the Central Hall Floo Flame, descend the stairs, and then turn right at the fountain. By the entrance to the Transfiguration Courtyard, it leads to the opposite staircase, but to the right is where you’ll discover the cabinet.
Library
Also in the Library Annex area. Find the key by the bookshelves on the side that is closest to you by fast-traveling to the Library Floo Flame. The cabinet is on the opposite side of the library’s back wall, and the key opens it.
Upper Central Hall
Once more, another one of Hogwarts Legacy Deadalian Keys back to the Library Annex area. Fast travel to the Central Hall Floo Flame, then ascend the steps to the large viaduct doors. Before entering, move to the right side of the room and scan the area behind the stairwell for the floating key. It leads to a cabinet on the right side when you return to the first flight of steps.
Potions Classroom
Also in the vicinity of the Library Annex. Fast-travel to the Potions Classroom Floo Flame, enter through the doors in front of you, and then turn left to find the key at the top of the stairs. Follow it to the bottom of the steps, where there is a cupboard.
North Hall
In the Astronomy Wing. When you arrive at the Transfiguration Classroom Floo Flame, quickly reverse your direction and enter North Hall through the doors on the left. Outside the door to the History of Magic classroom, you should be able to see the key straight ahead. The cabinet is on the top floor, up a few flights of steps.
Sleeping Dragon
In the vicinity of the Astronomy Wing. After entering the Transfiguration Classroom Floo Flame, turn around and enter the double doors on the left. Go straight ahead, then turn right and descend the staircase as far as you can. Continue to descend and look for the cabinet on your left as you pass it to discover the key by a statue of a sleeping dragon. Retrace your steps back to the cabinet.
Near the Map Chamber
Once more in the vicinity of the Astronomy Wing. Go along the path indicated by the previous key, passing the statue of a sleeping dragon and the closed doors, until you reach the area containing all the wooden casks. The key is located close to the stone-pillared chamber with the eye chest after ascending the steps, turning right, and continuing to the bottom (opens in new tab). It will take you back to the barrel room cabinet.
Grand Staircase
In the Grand Staircase area. Go up the majestic staircase itself after fast traveling to the Grand Staircase Floo Flame. Continue climbing until you reach the level below the puzzle door with the symbols etched into the stairwell’s exterior wall. The cupboard beneath the same Floo Flame, close to the location of the second puzzle door, is where the key descends to.
Entrance Hall
In The Great Hall area. Go through the large doors into the entrance hall after fast traveling to the Viaduct Courtyard Floo Flame, climbing the stairs to the courtyard itself. The cabinet will be immediately visible to your left, and you may find the key on the level above the prominent Hogwarts sign.
The Great Hall
Within The Great Hall area. Fast-travel to The Great Hall Floo Flame, and scan your left to find the key. On the side opposite the entry where the puzzle door is, it leads to a cabinet.
Quad Courtyard
Another one near The Great Hall. Fast-travel to The Grand Hall Floo Flame, then turn right through the double doors, past the statue, and down the steps to where the key is located via the large archway. It will lead you to a cabinet in the Quad Courtyard’s far bottom corner as you descend the stairs.
Faculty Tower
Around the South Wing. To enter the Faculty Tower, you must complete the “The Caretaker’s Lunar Lament” quest because it enables you to use Alohomora to open doors. Fast-travel to the Faculty Tower Floo Flame, enter the tower directly, and then up the stairs to the next floor where the key is located. You can descend to a cabinet close to where you arrived by using the key.
Another one at Faculty Tower
Like before, you must complete the quest “The Caretaker’s Lunar Lament” to obtain this. A passageway lined with pictures connects the Faculty Tower to the Clock Tower on its upper levels in the South Wing region. The lock of the cabinet with the statues next to the Prefect’s Restroom entrance is here, and the key is within.
Clock Tower
In the area of the South Wing. To obtain this key, much like the other two, you’ll need Alohomora. Fast-travel to the Clock Tower Courtyard Floo Flame, then ascend the stairs through the leftmost closed door. The key is located on the leftmost part of the walkway, where the steps exit. That will take you to the cabinet above on a different floor.
How to open the House Cabinets?
A flying key must be followed back to its cabinet where it hovers above the keyhole after being found. You can interact with the cabinets to initiate a quick key-slapping minigame. They are incredibly big and hard to miss. The goal is to slam the key into the keyhole as it travels by, though you can slap it wherever it goes. Since it is a reaction-based minigame, the only true strategy is to hit the key at the appropriate moment or to observe its pattern to predict when it will fly over the hole. You’ll receive a house token after slapping it into the lock, which you can take back to the house chest.
What is the reward?
The Relic House Uniform is the prize for returning all of the House Tokens to the House Chest. Depending on your house, this has a distinctive pattern and glows as you cast spells. We must admit that it is absolutely gorgeous. You must alter the appearance of your gear in order to wear it because it is in your collections and not a piece of gear. Then return to Nellie Oggspire to finish the mission by reporting your findings.
