Recent research by SearchLab has shown the “Google vehicles for sale” option that allows vehicle dealers to list their inventories on their Google Business Profiles. Even though the feature is only available for dealers in the United States, it is expected to reach other parts of the world in the near future.
Google is one of the world’s most innovative and powerful technology firms, offering great advantages to people, especially business owners. The “Google vehicles for sale” feature was also one of them, and its beta version has been appearing in people’s searches. The new feature aims to help people find a great deal or reach out to car dealers more easily when searching for a specific car model using the search engine. Normally, people would have to hop on Google to look for the specs of the car they were aiming to buy, but now, they can find a couple of deals after putting the car’s model into the search bar.
Google vehicles for sale feature explained
A new “Google vehicles for sale” section will be added to the Google-generated widget with the car’s specifications if you search for a certain car and there is an inventory of that car listed in your area. For instance, if you conduct a computer-based search for “Peugeot 208” in Google, the right sidebar will display a section labeled “Peugeot 208 for sale.” Before the new widget, you would only see websites including the car specs and a bunch of big dealerships that rank higher in searches. Now with the new “Google vehicles for sale” tab, you will be able to see if there are any “Peugeot 208” cars that are currently on sale near you or in your area.
Moreover, any motor vehicle with a Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) will appear on the search. This means that it is for cars, motorcycles, trucks, and more. On the other hand, Google made it a top priority for mobile, looking at the search results. If you type in any car kind, let’s take Peugeot 208 as an example again, the listings will appear even before the search results. If you search for a car on your mobile phone, the first thing that appears on your screen will be the car’s listings from various vehicle dealers.
Last year, a support page was activated, and it was a signal of the Google vehicles for sale page. We knew that the new feature would go live soon, but its effects might be bigger than expected. With this new feature, it looks like all the other big car dealers, such as Cars.com and Autotrader, will look for a different strategy. Maybe they could devise a plan to be involved in the widget because it is very useful and easy to access. People won’t have to click extra to see the vehicle listings in their areas.
On top of its accessibility, the Google vehicles for sale tab lets you filter your search and find the best car for your needs listed on the widget. Just like the big vehicle dealerships but with much easier access. It is not known whether Google will prioritize the widget and invest more in it in the upcoming days, but even for now, it is very useful for the majority of users.
