Bumble Netflix partnership presents Netflix Nights In. 78% of Bumble users agreed that sharing interests in television and film makes it simpler to strike up conversations with potential mates. Seventy-two percent of people polled have discussed movies and TV series with a date at some point.

Do you want to find love? Just Netflix and chill…

What is Netflix Nights In?

Bumble has introduced a weekly Netflix-themed question game called “Netflix Nights In,” which poses questions to users based on a current or recently concluded season of a famous Netflix show. To show who has the most knowledge, users can play a game to see whether they can beat their opponent.

Netflix currently has over 221 million subscribers

Netflix Nights In will debut on January 30 and run until March 13. Users of Bumble in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom can participate in the question game.

Every week on Monday, there will be questions based on a different show, such as “Emily in Paris,” “Stranger Things,” “Squid Game,” “Selling Sunset,” “Love Is Blind,” or “Outer Banks.” Once the user and their match have selected their answers, only then will the correct one be revealed. In addition, each episode will include a different star from the corresponding show, such as Ashley Park from “Emily in Paris,” Alexa Lemieux from “Love Is Blind,” and Amanza Smith from “Selling Sunset.”

“When we’re getting to know someone, it’s human nature to try and find common interests. It gives you something to bond over and go beyond surface-level conversation. We love seeing people connect over Netflix shows and films and create their own communities around them. And with this partnership, we wanted to give people a way to find someone who gets them based on what they watch while leaning into ‘if you know you know’ Netflix references that have helped to spark many conversations.”

-Magno Herran, vice president of Marketing Partnerships at Netflix

Bumble loves streaming services

In October 2022, Bumble collaborated with Apple TV+ to provide customers with a blind-dating experience inspired by the dating app featured in the hit TV show “Ted Lasso.” The “Bantr Live” feature, which connected users at random but without revealing their appearance, was discontinued last year. Participants were allowed three minutes to chat through DM.

What is Bumble?

If you already don’t know, Bumble is an online dating app. Potential matches’ profiles are displayed, and the user can “swipe left” to pass on the person or “swipe right” to show interest, like Tinder. Only women can initiate contact with their matched men, but either person can do so in same-sex matches.

A co-founder of Tinder started Bumble

Whitney Wolfe Herd, after having left Tinder, created Bumble. ‘Feminist dating app’ is how Wolfe Herd has referred to Bumble. Bumble is the most popular female-led dating app in the United States, with 42 million monthly users as of January 2021, just behind the market leader Tinder. A poll conducted in June 2016 revealed that women make up 46.2% of the site’s audience. According to Forbes, the company was worth over $1 billion by 2017 and boasted 55 million members across 150 countries by the following year.

Tinder also wants to break the ice

Tinder has been working to improve its icebreaker features for some time now. Tinder’s second “Swipe Night” series, a weekly interactive “choose your own adventure” tale, debuted in 2021. Tinder, in celebration of National Dog Week in 2022, collaborated with animal shelters so that users may choose a rescued dog to appear in their profile picture.
